RENT AGREEMENT

This Rent Agreement is made on this _________, by and between:

________________________, aged about ____ years, residing at ________________________________________________, (hereinafter called the "FIRST PARTY/LANDLORD") of the one part.

AND

________________________, aged about ____ years, residing at ________________________________________________, (hereinafter called the "SECOND PARTY/TENANT") of the other part.

WHEREAS the First Party is the absolute owner of the property situated at ________________________________________________ (hereinafter referred to as the "Scheduled Property").

AND WHEREAS the Second Party has approached the First Party to let out the said Scheduled Property for residential purposes on rent, and the First Party has agreed to the same on the following terms and conditions:

1. That the Second Party shall pay a monthly rent of ₹_________ to the First Party.
2. That the tenancy shall commence from _________ and shall be valid for a period of 11 months.
3. That the Second Party has paid a sum of ₹_________ as an interest-free security deposit to the First Party.
4. That the electricity and water charges will be paid by the Second Party as per consumption.
5. That the Second Party shall not make any structural modifications to the Scheduled Property without the written consent of the First Party.
6. That the Second Party shall not sublet the Scheduled Property to any third party.
7. That upon expiry of the tenancy period, the Second Party shall vacate the property peacefully or renew the agreement with mutual consent.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, both parties have set their hands to this Rent Agreement on the day, month, and year first above written in the presence of witnesses.
